"Joan went above and beyond to help me with my patient, first with a needle thoracentesis, then with a chest tube placement set up. She not only helped me gather the supplies, but also helped me set up, stayed throughout the procedures to assist as needed and helped with clean up. She is an invaluable source of knowledge in our unit and is always ready and willing to help."

"I had an end of day emergency surgery for a patient, and Joan stepped right in and grabbed supplies and assisted With anything that needed to be done. She also checked in with me at the end of the shift to make sure I was ok, and provided helpful charting reminders.

"Joan helped us with tons of small things that made a big difference. She adjusted the feng shui of Jude's space and put on soothing lullabies for him. She also went above and beyond in helping prep me for what to expect during his discharge and advised me on questions I may want to ask about his discharge. She found Jude a lovely crocheted blanket from the charity knots of love. And she called to keep me updated on Jude's progress and checked when we were coming in so we didn't miss an opportunity to feed him. " -NWC

"We had a neonatal code that turned out to be a placental abruptio and infant arrived to the NICU requiring massive transfusion and hypothermia protocol. Joan quickly jumped in to help me set up all the equipment to be ready for the admission. Joan is a great team player. She had her own assignment and even without asking she quickly started to help.
